Singapore aims to provide at least half a million homes with 10 Gbps fixed broadband services by 2028 with all the major internet service providers upgrading their network. With the help of the $100 million grant by IMDA, consumers can expect more competitive, higher-speed service offers with new home networking equipment like routers.

While we still don’t have any use case for 10 Gbps internet, there is no harm in getting the network ready so that we can utilize it when the use case comes along.

PS: I know the image above doesn’t make sense as some of the landmarks are in the wrong place. But that’s what ChatGPT think future Singapore looks like with high speed internet.

Samsung had their Galaxy Unpacked event a few days ago and one product that caught my attention is the Samsung Galaxy Ring.

I know this is not the first smart ring. But coming from Samsung means that the smart ring will hit the mass market soon. Personally, I feel that this is a new product line worth watching. Sometimes I don’t feel like wearing my smartwatch or need to wear a formal one. A smart ring means that my vital stats will still be tracked even when I’m not wearing my smartwatch.

And I’m sure we will see more phone manufacturers releasing their smart rings soon.

The Galaxy Ring will launch in the US on 24 July 2024 for US$399.99. Strangely, there is no release date for Singapore yet.
